Controller – Data Center Development
Position Overview
A growing and fast paced organization is seeking a Corporate Controller to join its accounting and finance leadership team. This role will oversee core accounting operations, financial close activities, accounting policies, and compliance functions while helping scale financial processes to support continued growth.
This is a hands on leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys building processes, partnering cross functionally, and operating within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
* Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while maintaining strong accounting controls and documentation standards
* Oversee general ledger activities across multiple entities and business operations
* Support technical accounting matters and maintain accounting policies and procedures
* Ensure consistency and accuracy across accounting processes and financial reporting activities
* Manage tax related activities and partner with external advisors to support compliance and reporting requirements
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
* Support audit activities and coordinate with external auditors and advisors as needed
* Establish and maintain scalable accounting processes, procedures, and workflows
* Partner with finance, operations, and leadership teams to support accounting decisions and reporting initiatives
* Drive process improvements focused on scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence
* Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision making
* Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
* CPA required
* 7+ years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and/or industry environments
* Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
* Experience managing close processes, internal controls, and multi entity accounting environments
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to operate effectively in fast paced and evolving environments
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior leadership experience within growing or complex organizations
* Public accounting experience strongly preferred
* Experience working within asset intensive, project based, or operationally complex businesses is a plus
