Title: Manager, Lease Operations & Recoveries

Overview
We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected real estate organization known for owning, operating, and developing high-quality retail and mixed-use properties in top-tier markets across the U.S. The company combines the stability and resources of a large public platform with the collaborative, agile environment of a smaller team.

They are seeking a Manager, Lease Operations & Recoveries to join their team in a hybrid capacity. This position is responsible for overseeing lease administration operations, leading a team, and ensuring the accurate execution of tenant billing, recoveries, and lease-related financial processes. This individual will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, improving processes, and partnering cross-functionally with accounting, finance, operations, and legal teams.


Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and ensure accuracy in the calculation and processing of CAM, tax, and other tenant recoveries
* Review and approve annual reconciliations, tenant account adjustments, refunds, and related transactions
* Lead and manage a team of lease administration professionals along with external service partners
* Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure deadlines and performance standards are consistently met
* Provide guidance on lease interpretation, billing structures, and recovery-related matters
* Analyze portfolio-level recovery performance and support collections efforts
* Prepare and review tax accruals and support audit-related activities, including tenant CAM audits
* Develop internal reporting and dashboards for leadership visibility into operations
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across the function
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across accounting, finance, operations, and legal
* Support and lead special projects as needed


Qualifications
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline preferred
* 5-10+ years of experience supporting lease administration or property accounting within commercial real estate environments
* Demonstrated experience overseeing CAM, tax, and operating expense recovery processes
* Prior experience leading or mentoring a team, with the ability to drive performance and accountability
* Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Solid understanding of lease structures and the financial components tied to tenant billing
* Track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing process enhancements
* Comfortable working with property management and accounting systems; adaptable to new tools and platforms
* Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
* Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain complex concepts clearly
* Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with systems such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms is a plus
