We are partnering with a highly regarded professional services organization to identify a Senior Manager to lead its billing and collections function. This individual will play a key leadership role in optimizing the revenue cycle and partnering with senior stakeholders on complex client arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and oversee all aspects of the billing lifecycle, including standard invoicing, alternative fee structures, and electronic billing formats
* Monitor work in progress and receivables, addressing aging items and escalating issues as needed
* Manage and develop the billing and collections team, driving performance and process improvement
* Partner with internal stakeholders to support budgeting and financial planning for client engagements
* Provide strategic guidance on pricing models and billing structures
* Drive consistency and standardization across billing and collections processes while accommodating client-specific requirements
* Analyze revenue cycle trends and leverage data to improve performance and decision making
* Develop and maintain reporting and forecasting related to billing and collections
* Oversee collections strategy and execution to ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances
* Support training initiatives to improve understanding of billing practices across the organization
* Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on cross-functional initiatives
* Manage client requests related to billing, collections, and financial data
* Evaluate and enhance billing systems, tools, and automation efforts
* Assist with system upgrades and other technology-driven initiatives

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
* Extensive experience in billing, collections, or revenue cycle management within a professional services environment
* Experience supporting complex billing structures (e.g., alternative fee arrangements, e-billing) preferred
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience using financial systems and reporting tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
