Staff Accountant (Nonprofit)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting who wants to contribute to meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Post cash receipts, donations, and ACH payments to the general ledger
- Perform bank and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections follow-up
- Prepare weekly/monthly donation and revenue reports
- Maintain W-9s and insurance documentation, including COIs
- Support corporate credit card administration and employee inquiries
- Provide backup for accounts payable as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting or AR experience (nonprofit a plus)
- Strong skills in reconciliations, GL accounting, and Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
