Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded law firm in downtown Chicago. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation between $70,000-$85,000, full benefits, and a hybrid schedule (100% onsite for the first 90 days, then 2-3 days remote per week with designated core in-office days).

Skills required and Job Duties include the following:

* 5+ years of experience supporting commercial real estate transactions in a law firm
* Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and closing materials in Microsoft Word (including styles and redlining)
* Draft and assemble closing documents, signature packets, escrow instructions, title/survey letters, and closing binders
* Maintain transaction checklists and track contingencies, deadlines, and deliverables
* Coordinate due diligence items such as zoning reports, surveys, water certifications, and bulk sale releases
* Open new matters and assist with conflict checks
* Maintain electronic files and utilize document management systems (iManage preferred)
* Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
* Process invoices, reimbursements, and assist with billing
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
* Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with strong attention to detail
