Beacon Hill Legal is working exclusively with a prominent Chicago‑based real estate company to hire a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team.
This role reports directly to the General Counsel and works closely with the CEO and executive leadership. The Legal Counsel will play a key role in the company’s acquisitions, development, financing, and portfolio management activities.
Qualified candidates will have at least four (4) years of commercial real estate experience, in either an in‑house or law firm setting. A comprehensive understanding of the full real estate lifecycle, from acquisition and financing through development, operations, and disposition, is required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements
- Managing due diligence, compliance matters, and outside counsel
- Handling construction and permanent financing, joint ventures, and investor transactions
- Negotiating operational and other real estate-related agreements
This is a hybrid position based in downtown Chicago, with 4 days per week in the office. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus.
