Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a highly sophisticated and rapidly growing asset management platform to identify a Senior Counsel to join its legal team. This role reports directly to a well-regarded General Counsel/COO and offers a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact, business-facing position with significant visibility across the organization.
This is a great opportunity for a Big Law attorney with private credit, lending, or broader finance experience who is looking to transition in-house while continuing to work on complex, high-level matters.
Highlights:
- Senior Counsel role reporting directly to the GC/COO with direct exposure to leadership and the board
- Highly substantive, non-routine work focused on lending, credit, and capital markets transactions
- Opportunity to present to the board, manage deals, and draft key transaction documents in-house
- Strong mentorship and training environment with a hands-on GC who prioritizes development
- Fast-growing platform spanning middle market lending, syndicated loans, structured credit/CLOs, and asset management
- Collaborative, down-to-earth culture that values team players willing to roll up their sleeves
- Hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)
Required:
- 6+ years of transactional experience, ideally from a top law firm
- Experience in private credit, lending, leveraged finance, or a similar finance-focused practice
- Experience with capital markets and/or public company work strongly preferred
- Background supporting asset managers, investment funds, or BDCs is a plus
- Strong drafting and deal management experience with the ability to operate independently
- Business-minded, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
- Active bar license required
