A Chambers-ranked litigation boutique in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Senior Associate to join its high-stakes complex commercial litigation practice. This is an opportunity to take on a lead role in sophisticated disputes while working in a lean, trial-focused environment that offers meaningful responsibility and client exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Take and defend depositions, argue substantive motions, and serve as a key point of contact for clients
- Develop case strategy in partnership with partners on high-value, high-impact disputes
- Draft dispositive motions, briefs, and appellate filings
- Oversee and mentor junior associates and coordinate with expert witnesses and litigation support teams
Qualifications:
- 6-12+ years of complex commercial litigation experience at a top boutique or AmLaw firm
- Strong academic credentials and Big Law training preferred
- Significant experience handling sophisticated matters, including breach of contract, business torts, and other high-stakes commercial disputes
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and interface directly with clients
- Trial experience or significant stand-up experience strongly preferred
- Admission to the Illinois Bar (or ability to waive in)

Compensation & Expectations:
- Salary range: $240,000 – $280,000, commensurate with experience
- Billable requirement: 1,850 hours
