Real Estate Attorney with Homebuilder Experience

Beacon Hill’s client, a nationally recognized Am Law firm, is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to support their team on homebuilder matters. This role is exclusively dedicated to homebuilder work, and the selected attorney must be comfortable with a single‑focus workload (no split responsibilities). This is a contract SPL1 opportunity for someone who is looking for a longer-term fit, with potential to progress to SPL2 for the right person.
- Location: Onsite – Raleigh, NC 27603. Candidates must be Raleigh-based and able to work onsite at least 4 days per week, with a strong preference for 5 days per week.
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months to start, with the potential to transition to a direct-hire Special Project Lawyer (SPL2) role within the firm
- Concurrent employment: not permitted
- Hours: 35-40 hours per week
- Pay: up to $85/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina bar license in good standing
- Law firm experience and/or in-house experience with a homebuilder
- Strong general real estate background
- Willingness to focus exclusively on homebuilder matters
- Required homebuilder experience:
- Draft purchase and sale agreements and lot contracts
- Draft closing documents
- Review title and survey matters
- Prepare homeowners’ association (HOA) documents
- Draft easement agreements and ancillary development documents
