What You’ll Do
Business Expertise & Operational Guidance
- Provide subject matter expertise across dealership processes and workflows
- Translate operational needs into clear business outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability, and business value
- Evaluate solutions through the lens of end-user adoption and operational impact
Product & Requirements Validation
- Review and refine business requirements, workflows, and feature definitions
- Challenge assumptions and uncover gaps before development begins
- Support prioritization and decision-making in complex or evolving situations
- Ensure business needs are accurately represented throughout the product lifecycle
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and feedback discussions
- Partner with product, business, and technical stakeholders to drive consensus
- Communicate risks, dependencies, and recommendations effectively
- Influence key decisions through expertise and relationship-building
Solution Review & Quality Assurance
- Assess proposed process changes, workflows, and user experiences
- Review design concepts and functional solutions
- Support acceptance validation and business sign-off activities
- Contribute to successful product releases and continuous improvement efforts
What You Bring
- Background working within automotive, powersports, or similar dealership environments
- Typically 5+ years of experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and related business operations
- Strong understanding of core dealership functions such as sales, service, inventory, parts, customer management, financial operations, and reporting
- Experience analyzing business processes and documenting or validating requirements
- Ability to uncover operational risks, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile or iterative delivery environments
- Familiarity with modern product development concepts such as user stories, feature planning, and acceptance criteria
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort working independently and influencing outcomes without formal authority
- Proficiency with common business and collaboration tools
Success in This Role
Nice to Have
- Powersports dealership experience
- Experience within marine, RV, agriculture, construction, or equipment dealerships
- Exposure to software modernization or digital transformation programs
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms or cloud-based business applications
- Experience working with external or distributed development teams
- Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data migration activities
- Knowledge of database concepts and business data structures
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI-assisted productivity tools
