Sterile Production Pharmacist
Location: Onsite – Chester County, PA
Organization Type: Specialized Compounding Pharmacy (Sterile & Non-Sterile)
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, this role supports both sterile and non-sterile production operations to ensure full compliance with state and federal compounding regulations. The Compounding Pharmacist oversees preparation accuracy, regulatory adherence, and quality standards while also providing patient care, clinical oversight, and medication counseling.
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding preferred
- Strong attention to detail with proven documentation and quality assurance skills
Job Duties
- Verify and compound sterile and non-sterile preparations in compliance with master formulation records and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> requirements, including aseptic technique, garbing, and cleaning procedures
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations and maintain accurate, compliant documentation
- Conduct quality control testing and inspections to ensure accuracy, purity, and potency of compounded medications
- Collaborate with prescribers and internal pharmacy staff to support customized medication therapies
- Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, over-the-counter medications, and supplements
- Support pharmacy operations as needed, including prescription processing, workflow support, and shipping activities
Additional Information
- Schedule: Full-time, onsite; 8:00a – 4:30p EST Monday – Friday with occasional participation in a rotating closing shift (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Expected Pay Range: $135,000 – $145,000/annually
