Overnight Counselor
Location: Boston, MA

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in case management, substance use services, mental health, or working with diverse and vulnerable populations
- Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and person-centered services
- LADC or CADC preferred; strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries required
Job Duties
- Provide overnight support and counseling within a 24/7 residential program serving individuals experiencing homelessness
- Provide substance use support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation as situations arise
- Assist residents with immediate needs, resources, referrals, and overnight concerns
- Work within a low-threshold, harm-reduction, trauma-informed model of care
- Collaborate with internal program staff and outside community partners to coordinate services
- Document relevant information and communicate overnight updates to daytime staff
- Remain awake and alert throughout the entire overnight shift and provide additional program coverage as needed
Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Assignment: Temporary leave coverage, 12/21-1/19
- Anticipated Start: Week of 12/14
- Location: Boston, MA
