Clinical Pharmacist – Durham, NC
Healthcare Insurance / Managed Care Organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical or pharmacy experience
- Active state pharmacy license
- Strong knowledge of drug coding systems and prior authorization processes
Job Duties
- Review prior authorization requests and determine coverage based on member benefits and clinical criteria
- Track, evaluate, and report utilization review data and compliance metrics
- Provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy technicians
- Review guideline criteria for prior authorization and non‑formulary medications
- Maintain and apply current drug information and disease‑state knowledge
- Ensure quality controls and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Summarize daily utilization review activity for internal reporting
Additional Information
- Schedule: Full‑time, Monday-Friday
- Assignment Duration: 4/27/26 – 10/16/26
- Expected Pay Range: Competitive, based on experience and licensure
