BI Developer (MicroStrategy)
Role Summary
Seeking a MicroStrategy BI Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise reporting solutions. This role focuses on developing scalable dashboards, data models, and analytics assets while leveraging modern data platforms and AI-assisted development tools. Ideal for someone who can operate independently and translate complex business requirements into high-quality BI solutions.
Must-Haves
- Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy (dashboard development, reporting, schema/semantic modeling)
- Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, joins, performance tuning)
- Strong Python experience for data processing and automation
- Experience working with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code)
- Solid experience with data warehousing (Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical BI solutions
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with React or TypeScript for building custom analytics interfaces
- Exposure to end-to-end data pipelines or orchestration
- Experience with data governance, security, and data quality practices
- Background in Media & Entertainment or Financial data
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy BI environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy dashboards and reports
- Build and optimize data models and reporting layers
- Migrate legacy reporting solutions into modern, scalable frameworks
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and improve efficiency
- Translate business needs into data models, visualizations, and reporting solutions
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability of BI assets
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to implement best practices
