Network Engineer (Splunk / Observability / Operations)

Role Summary

Seeking a Network Engineer with strong Splunk experience to support monitoring, operational stability, and incident response across an enterprise environment. This role blends core networking with observability, focusing on system health, performance, and reliability.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
  • Practical experience using Splunk for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational visibility
  • Experience working with logs, telemetry, and network data for incident response and root cause analysis
  • Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across multi-site environments
  • Perform daily Splunk health checks to ensure platform stability and performance
  • Monitor logs, ingestion, and system behavior to proactively identify issues
  • Support Windows OS and Splunk patching cycles and validate system health post-changes
  • Participate in incident response, recovery, and root cause analysis
  • Execute change and configuration management activities within controlled environments
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures aligned with compliance standards

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with clustered or multi-site Splunk deployments
  • Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services)
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS or Azure)
