Senior Power BI Developer
Overview
Seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, build, and maintain advanced data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support strategic business decision-making. This role will work closely with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. The position also involves developing custom web applications and modernizing analytics solutions using React and AI-assisted development tools.
Must Haves
- Strong experience as a Power BI Developer building enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions
- 5+ years of Power BI development including Power Query, DAX, and complex data modeling
- 5+ years working with Data Warehousing environments
- Expert-level SQL and Python skills for querying, transformation, and analysis
- Experience with React for building or integrating custom web applications
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models for enterprise analytics.
- Build and maintain custom web-based analytics solutions using React integrated with reporting frameworks.
- Maintain and migrate Power BI dashboards into a React-based reporting framework, including DAX optimization and performance tuning.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, documentation, and prototyping while maintaining high code quality standards.
- Translate business and reporting requirements into technical specifications for data models, dashboards, and databases.
- Develop and maintain reporting pipelines using modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Optimize queries, data models, and reporting performance using SQL, Python, and data engineering best practices.
- Partner with technical leads and architects to implement new data technologies and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable analytics solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with end-to-end data orchestration or data pipeline workflows
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and access controls
- Experience building custom analytics or reporting web applications
