Technical Project / Program Manager – Studio Production Technology

Overview

Seeking a Technical Project / Program Manager to support applications and systems used across studio production environments. This role sits within a production technology team responsible for enabling the systems, tools, and data workflows that support both the financial and operational lifecycle of productions from pre-production through execution.

This position acts as a key bridge between studio stakeholders, production teams, and engineering, requiring a blend of entertainment domain knowledge and strong technical delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project and program delivery for production technology initiatives, including planning, execution, and tracking of milestones
  • Support applications used across production setup, finance, billing, accounting, and cost tracking workflows
  • Partner with studio, production, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive development, customization, and delivery of production-specific solutions
  • Track progress, manage risks, and provide clear reporting on delivery status
  • Leverage data and metrics to support decision-making and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility production environments with shifting priorities

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in both project and program management, with ability to operate at an enterprise delivery level
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry, preferably within production or studio technology environments
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for project tracking and delivery management
  • Strong understanding of data, metrics, and reporting, with ability to interpret and communicate insights
  • Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) in a professional workflow
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams across business, production, and engineering
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including leadership
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-moving environments with competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Advanced or practical application of AI tools in delivery or engineering workflows
  • Familiarity with production finance or cost tracking systems
  • Experience supporting tools or workflows across the full production lifecycle

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • STEM degree preferred
