Beacon Hill Legal’s client, a mid-sized law firm, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Plaintiff Litigation Attorney for a temp to perm role. This position is hybrid and will require commuting to Midtown Manhattan. Candidates must have a minimum of four years experience handling healthcare litigation work and be comfortable commuting to the office four times a week and working remotely one. Pay rate is $70-75 an hour, dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high‑volume caseload to ensure continuity of payment for healthcare providers.
• Negotiate and settle private pay cases.
• Litigate against individuals for non‑payment, when necessary.
• Handle guardianship matters and hearings from initiation through completion.
• Handle nursing home discharge hearings.
• Initiate estate proceedings
• Appeal denials of benefits from Medicaid, managed care plans, and private insurers.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing
• Ability to commute to the office in Midtown Manhattan four times a week and remote one.
• 4+ years of litigation experience required.
• Familiarity with New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR).
• Plaintiff‑side litigation experience.
• Experience with guardianship filings and procedures.
• Experience with Surrogate’s Court filings and processes.
• Background in collection work and familiarity with federal and New York debt collection laws.
• Knowledge of New York Medicaid rules, regulations, and administrative procedures related to long‑term care coverage.
