Beacon Hill Legal’s client, an entertainment company located in Lower Manhattan, is seeking an Advertising and Marketing Paralegal for four-month contract coverage, with the potential for extension. Candidates must have 1+ years of experience working as a marketing and advertising paralegal and be comfortable commuting to the office four times a week and working remotely one.
Responsibilities
- Review marketing materials (social media, websites, print ads, TV/radio scripts) for compliance with FTC regulations and privacy laws.
- Draft and review marketing-related agreements, including influencer agreements, talent releases, agency contracts, and advertising orders.
- Manage intellectual property issues, including trademark and copyright clearances for marketing assets.
- Monitor compliance with laws concerning sweepstakes, contests, digital marketing (CAN-SPAM/TCPA), and consumer data privacy.
- Work between legal teams and marketing departments to ensure campaigns are both creative and legally safe.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Ability to commute to the office in Lower Manhattan four times a week and remote one.
- Knowledge of or familiarity with advertising regulations as they may pertain to specific industries like pharmaceutical, consumer goods, gambling/gaming, etc. is preferred.
- Experience in broadcast or advertising standards and/or production a plus.
