We are looking for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) contractor to support environmental programs, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, risk reduction, and EHS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance: Manage the environmental programs, assuring regulatory compliance
- Culture: Conducts GEMBA walks, inspections, and risk assessments to drive a proactive safety culture
- Incident Investigation: Conduct investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Program Development: Create, update, and manage EHS procedures and training programs
Other Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess EHS risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Provide guidance and training to employees
- Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Support the administration of various EHS programs and initiatives
- Participate in self-assessments,
- Develop and implement new EHS procedures and update and improve existing ones
- Support the training program by assisting in the development and delivery of EHS training
- Perform risk and hazard assessments, inspections, GEMBAs, and audits
- Work may include cleanroom gowning and PPE requirements, multi-site support, and occasional off-hour support for projects or emergencies
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related technical field.
- Experience: 5-8+ years in EHS, particularly managing environmental programs for manufacturing operations
- Certifications: prefer CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficient with MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Well versed with EHS-related federal and state regulations (e.g., EPA, MassDEP, OSHA)
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities
