Beacon Hill is partnering with a highly regarded Am Law firm seeking 2-3 Litigation Attorneys for a long-term contract opportunity.

Candidates must have at least 4 years of strong litigation experience and be able to step in and quickly understand the litigation process. Mass tort experience would be especially helpful.

The work will focus on litigation support, including preparing discovery requests and responses, assessing whether subpoenas should be issued, drafting deposition outlines, preparing witness preparation kits, and conducting legal analysis.

This role will not focus on drafting pleadings or arguing motions. The team is looking for attorneys with strong litigation and discovery experience who can hit the ground running.

Project Details

• Location: Remote (Candidates must be actively licensed and reside in the same state, and that state must be one in which the firm has an office. Preference for candidates licensed and located in the Pittsburgh, PA area)
• Eligible states: California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Likely at least 6 months
• Concurrent employment: Not permitted
• Hours: 35-40 hours per week
• Pay: $80-$93/hour, depending on experience

Required Qualifications:

• Active bar license in good standing in your state of residence (must be an eligible office state listed above)
• 4+ years of strong litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Strong experience drafting and responding to discovery
• Thorough understanding of the litigation process and ability to hit the ground running
• Experience tracking billable and non-billable time
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work on sensitive matters involving allegations of childhood sexual abuse
• Ability to commit fully to the assignment without concurrent employment

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

• Mass tort litigation experience
• Pennsylvania court experience, since many of the cases are out of Pennsylvania
• Candidates based in the Pittsburgh, PA area are preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Drafting discovery requests and discovery responses
• Assessing whether subpoenas need to be issued
• Preparing deposition outlines and witness preparation kits
• Conducting legal analysis
• Providing general litigation support
