A large, established construction company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This organization has a strong reputation in the construction industry and offers a stable, collaborative environment with long-term career growth opportunities.
This position will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to managing accounting processes.
Keys:
- Manage month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and compliance functions
- Review subcontractor billing and contract-related accounting activities
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and union payroll requirements
- Support financial audits, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Partner with project teams and operational leadership
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Lead and mentor accounting staff while remaining involved in daily operations
Required:
- 5+ years of construction accounting experience
- Construction industry background
- Strong month-end close experience
- Hands-on management style
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
