Project Manager – Billing Transformation & Data Migration
Location: Tampa, FL (onsite, full-time in office)
Role Overview:
This Project Manager will lead and coordinate a large-scale telecom billing transformation initiative involving the migration of customer, product, asset, and financial data. The focus is ensuring accurate data conversion, billing continuity, revenue protection, and zero disruption to customers throughout the migration.
What the Person Will Do
- Drive project planning, governance, risk management, and migration cutover activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Engineering, Customer Operations, QA, and vendors.
- Oversee data migration activities including data profiling, mapping, cleansing, ETL processes, and validation.
- Lead testing efforts across mock conversions, QA, Operational Readiness Testing (ORT), and production go-lives.
- Validate post-migration billing accuracy and resolve billing, pricing, tax, and account hierarchy issues.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, metrics, and budgets.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- Experience leading large-scale telecom/cable billing transformations or enterprise data migrations.
- Direct experience with ICOMS and CSG billing platforms highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Telecom billing systems
- Customer/account hierarchies
- Provisioning workflows
- Billing cycles
- Technical knowledge of:
- SQL
- Relational databases
- ETL/data migration tools
- Data warehousing concepts
Nice-to-Have
- PMP, PgMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar certifications.
- Experience with revenue assurance, financial controls, and automated data validation.
