Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support day-to-day financial operations in a contract capacity. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate accounting records, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Perform bank account reconciliations and research discrepancies
  • Manage client-related financial transactions, deposits, disbursements, and account activity
  • Support month-end close processes and assist with financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and organized documentation
  • Respond to accounting, billing, and payment-related inquiries
  • Monitor account balances and ensure transactions are recorded correctly
  • Assist with cash management and payment processing activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support daily accounting operations
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • College-level accounting coursework, accounting degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • Familiarity with client fund accounting, trust accounting, or specialized accounting processes
  • Experience with accounting, billing, or ERP software platforms

  • Opportunity to contribute immediately and provide critical accounting support during a temporary assignment
  • Hybrid flexibility may be available after an initial onsite training period depending on business needs
