We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Control Planner to support daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is a highly interactive, hands-on role that works directly with production team leads, planners, warehouse personnel, and operations teams to keep materials moving and resolve issues impacting the production floor.
This is not a desk-only position – the ideal candidate will be eager to move around the floor, investigate material shortages, communicate across departments, and help drive solutions in real time. Strong administrative and organizational skills are the highest priority for this role.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Partner with production team leads to gather daily material needs and production priorities
* Investigate material shortages, delays, and inventory discrepancies impacting production
* Work closely with planners to identify and understand root causes of material issues
* Help expedite materials from the warehouse to the production floor to minimize downtime
* Navigate between multiple Excel sheets and ERP systems to track and verify material status
* Perform ERP transactions related to inventory, materials, and production support
* Maintain accurate documentation and provide administrative support to operations teams
* Communicate effectively across warehouse, planning, and production teams
Required Skills & Experience
* Active Secret Clearance required
* Strong administrative and organizational skills
* Experience working within an ERP or MRP system
* ERP transactional experience
* Excel proficiency including:
* VLOOKUPs
* Pivot Tables
* Basic formatting
* Basic charting/reporting
* Ability to multitask and navigate between multiple spreadsheets and systems
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or operations environment
Preferred Experience
* Production planning exposure
* Material picking or inventory/material handling experience
* Manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain support background
