Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Technician / Controls Specialist to support industrial manufacturing operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving control systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.

You will also play a key role in supporting maintenance teams, reviewing system designs, and driving continuous improvement across plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and control systems across production equipment
* Support controls-related repairs, upgrades, and system improvements
* Provide guidance and training to maintenance and technical teams
* Review and support implementation of controls designs for new and existing equipment
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation issues
* Perform testing, calibration, and validation of control systems and instrumentation
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency
* Maintain documentation, system records, and adherence to safety standards


Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or automation
* Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley or similar)
* Experience with HMIs, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols
* Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems
* Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally


Preferred Experience:

* Experience with robotics and automated systems
* Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or similar communication protocols
* Background in high-speed manufacturing or production environments
* Exposure to instrumentation, sensors, and process control systems


Work Environment:

* Industrial manufacturing setting
* May include varying temperatures and production floor conditions
* Must be comfortable working on equipment and throughout facility as needed
