Location: Remote EST
Position Description:
- Immediately contribute as a hands‑on developer, building and maintaining EDI mapping solutions for healthcare encounter data
- Design, code, and refine EDI maps aligned with HIPAA and X12 standards
- Analyze raw data and produce detailed mapping specifications
- Translate and transform EDI 837 X12 into delimited and fixed‑width formats
- Test, debug, and resolve EDI mapping and data transformation issues
- Work closely with technical teams and business partners to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Document processes and maintain regulatory alignment
- Operate with a high degree of independence and accountability
Required Skills
- 5+ years of direct HIPAA Gateway transaction development, including:
- 837, 835, 277, 277CA, 277U, 824
- Strong, practical experience with HIPAA EDI mapping and transformations
- SNIP‑level edits and validation expertise
- Deep understanding of X12 file structures, acknowledgments, and transaction flows (TA1, 999, 835, 277U, 277CA)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex EDI transformation issues
- Experience with IBM transformation tools:
- ITX / WTX / STX
- SPE / ITXA / STXA
