Location: Fully on site role M-F in Wayne, PA

Highly visible, strategic role with the opportunity to lead enterprise Power BI architecture and directly influence company-wide analytics strategy. This position will play a key role in modernizing the BI environment as the organization transitions from Cognos to Power BI. This individual will operate at both a highly technical level and in a business-facing capacity, helping define standards, mentor teams, and drive long-term BI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable, enterprise-grade semantic models to support self-service Power BI analytics
  • Partner with Data Architects and ETL teams to ingest, transform, and prepare large and complex data models for analytics consumption
  • Implement and manage data governance, access controls, and security policies across BI platforms
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions
  • Optimize Power BI report and dataset performance through advanced data modeling, DAX optimization, and query tuning
  • Monitor Power BI workspaces and Fabric capacities to ensure performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to reports and dashboards
  • Establish and enforce enterprise standards and best practices for Power BI development
  • Lead initiatives related to metadata management, data lineage, documentation, and data quality
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT staff and business users
  • Support enterprise reporting strategy to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability across analytics platforms

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in BI architecture and data engineering, with 10+ years of overall IT experience
  • Expert-level Power BI experience including DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling
  • Strong expertise with relational databases and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift)
  • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and RDS environments
  • Experience with Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Catalog and governance tools
  • Strong understanding of cloud data warehousing, analytics platforms, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Proven ability to design and manage large-scale semantic models for self-service analytics environments
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD pipeline deployments
