We are seeking a Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise container platform environment. This role will focus on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), Kubernetes administration, Helm-based application deployment, GitOps automation, and service mesh technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, production-ready platform solutions and partnering with application teams to accelerate cloud-native adoption.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and Kubernetes environments.
- Design and implement scalable deployment solutions using Helm and Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage reusable Helm charts to streamline application onboarding and standardize deployments.
- Utilize ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies to automate application delivery and infrastructure management.
- Configure, deploy, and support service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Create, manage, and maintain Kubernetes manifests and operators.
- Install, configure, and integrate platform tools within Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with development and application teams to onboard workloads and promote platform best practices.
- Participate in platform design reviews, testing, and production readiness activities.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) or OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Helm, including building and maintaining Helm charts.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Strong understanding of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and GitOps deployment practices.
- Experience creating and managing Kubernetes manifests and operators.
- Experience with service mesh technologies, including Istio or Linkerd.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency with Bash scripting.
