Our client is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations for a large, multi-location workforce. This role will lead a team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for more than 20,000 employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the payroll function, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Lead, train, and mentor payroll team members while promoting a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
  • Manage payroll workflows and allocate resources to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Review payroll transactions, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations teams to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes.
  • Support payroll system maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to support internal stakeholders and business needs.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with payroll transitions, special projects, and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, including prior supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems; UKG experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, prioritize competing deadlines, and drive results.
