A growing logistics company is seeking an experienced Inventory Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will be responsible for inventory tracking, reconciliations, cost analysis, and supporting month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and reconcile inventory balances across multiple locations
- Prepare inventory journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close related to inventory and cost accounting
- Analyze inventory variances, adjustments, and discrepancies
- Partner with operations and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system
- Assist with reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of inventory accounting or cost accounting experience preferred
- Experience within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- ERP system experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
