Entry Level Distribution Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Support the design of overhead and underground electric distribution systems
- Develop basic engineering work packages using standard tools and guidelines
- Conduct field visits to gather data and assist with site inspections as needed
- Perform routine calculations such as pole loading, conductor sag/tension, and voltage drop
- Identify potential conflicts with existing utilities and escalate as needed
- Assist with permitting documentation, easements, and right-of-way support
- Provide support during construction and help complete post-construction reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or similar) or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and willingness to learn utility design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in both office and occasional field environments
- Interest and light experience in tools such as GIS, CAD (MicroStation), or utility design software
