Title: Engineering Technician I
Must Haves:
Strong background in utility distribution design work
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to perform both field and office work
Ability to work outdoors as needed
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Pluses:
Power or utilities experience
Previous experience with field data collection
Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline
Day to Day:
Perform field inspections and collect data to support electrical design work packages
Review work provided by the client and assess scope requirements
Perform engineering design work and calculations
Coordinate with permit agencies, right‑of‑way specialists, system owners, and joint‑use stakeholders
Provide engineering support during construction and post‑construction reviews
Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles
Travel locally and regionally to project sites per official job description
