Lead Software Engineer
Six Month Contract to Hire
Location: Denver, CO
Hourly Rate: $75-80/hr
Conversion Salary: $130k-$150k
Remote Flexibility: 5 days onsite

Job Detials:
– 5+ years of experience with Java including JAX-RS web services
– Strong RDBMS skills including data modeling, entity design with advanced SQL skills, and proficiency with Hibernate/JPA.
– Expert proficiency with AWS, including Lambda, IAM, Cognito, SMS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, CloudWatch.
– Proven experience designing and developing, maintaining and evolving secure and performant RESTful APIs and services.
– Proven experience with event-driven, object-oriented, and service-oriented patterns and architectures
– Experience with React or similar component-based web framework.
– Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts and best practices

Day to Day/Project:
– Act as a proactive technical leader with experience owning and delivering technical roadmaps.
– Partner with internal teams to design, build, test, deploy, and sustain complete and functional capabilities to internal users, customers and partners.
– Assist team members in completing tasks, reviewing and resolving issues, providing technical coaching and promoting simplicity in solving complex problems across our products. Everyone on the IT dev team will dotted line into them. While not a direct manager, they will be mentoring them
– Working on a mix of in-house platforms and customer/distributor platforms that are externally facing to place orders
– In-house timekeeping system they’re currently building, which will be plenty of greenfield development
– Supporting Global Operations, so while this resource primarily works US hours, they may have to take calls off-hours
– Responsible for the technical design of the Company’s platforms, working with business analysts and end users to understand the functional requirements, and translate these into technical designs for the team to deliver.
– Design, write and optimize your own code, as well as ensuring your team members are able to optimize theirs.
– Participate in all aspects of the product development and software delivery lifecycle, focusing on raising the bar on technical quality, performance, and agility.
