Administrative Receptionist
Chesapeake, VA
Our client is seeking a professional and reliable Administrative Receptionist to support a busy construction office. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity and a great fit for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact while supporting day‑to‑day office operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk; greet visitors and clients professionally
- Answer and route incoming calls
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of conference rooms and common areas
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Maintain and update the office directory and general office records
- Provide administrative support as needed, including assisting with office or construction trailer setup
- Support basic reporting and tracking using Excel
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an administrative or reception role (construction or trades a plus)
- Intermediate Excel skills required, including working with formulas, macros, and basic functions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on office environment
