We’re partnering with a well-established transportation/logistics company in Auburn that is looking to add an Accounting Specialist to their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting support, customer communication, research, and problem solving in a fast-paced but collaborative environment. The accounting team is friendly, hardworking, and looking for someone dependable who can stay organized, communicate professionally, and jump in where needed.

The Role

This is a blended accounting support position with a strong focus on cash applications, payment research, customer account support, and general accounting assistance. While there is some collections work involved, it’s much more relationship/customer service focused than aggressive collections.

What You’ll Do

  • Apply incoming customer payments and assist with cash applications
  • Research payment discrepancies, credits, and refunds
  • Perform light collections and customer payment follow up
  • Assist with AP invoice prep, coding support, and data entry
  • Scan checks and support payment processing activities
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding account questions
  • Support general accounting and administrative functions as needed

What They’re Looking For

  • Accounting, AR, cash applications, collections, or related office experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating Excel and Outlook
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach

Nice to Have

  • Cash applications experience
  • Credit/refund processing experience
  • Stronger Excel skills

Work Environment

  • 100% onsite in Auburn
  • Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Business casual environment
  • Collaborative team with strong tenure and a supportive manager
