We’re hiring an Accounting Manager for a company in Central Phoenix to support fund and investment-level accounting within a real estate/private equity environment. This role partners closely with portfolio management, tax, and leadership on financial reporting, consolidations, valuations, and performance analysis. This is a contract position paying between $60-$70/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end close across fund and investment structures
- Prepare and review consolidated and investment-level financial statements
- Ensure GAAP compliance and oversee fair value accounting
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reporting on portfolio performance
- Manage accounting for debt, accruals, property taxes, and insurance
- Support valuations, rollforwards, and fund/investment-level reporting
- Review capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and liquidity needs
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and fund onboarding activities
- Partner with audit, tax, and valuation teams to support reporting and compliance
- Oversee lender reporting and assist with covenant calculations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including fund accounting (real estate/private equity preferred)
- Strong experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and month-end close
- Knowledge of fund structures (capital calls, distributions, fee structures)
- Yardi experience (Investment Accounting module preferred)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- CPA or public accounting background (preferred)
