Estimating & Takeoff Analyst

Position Summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Estimating & Takeoff Analyst to support large‑scale quoting initiatives within a high‑volume, data‑driven environment. This role is responsible for converting detailed material takeoffs into accurate, fully developed quotes while supporting broader strategic initiatives tied to growth and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in blueprint analysis, construction estimating, and takeoff processes, paired with analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Pay Rate: $37/hr – $47/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard business hours
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Start Date: After interview

Key Responsibilities

Takeoff & Estimating

• Convert material takeoffs into complete, accurate project quotes
• Review and analyze construction drawings and plans
• Identify all required materials, quantities, and specifications
• Ensure accuracy across all estimates, including adjustments for scope gaps or discrepancies

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze program performance and identify opportunities for optimization
• Work with large data sets to evaluate quoting accuracy and effectiveness
• Support development of insights and recommendations based on data trends

Project Management

• Manage small to mid-sized initiatives tied to quoting and takeoff processes
• Track deliverables, timelines, and project performance metrics
• Prioritize multiple workstreams to meet deadlines and business objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with sales, operations, and takeoff teams to align outputs
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Support strategic initiatives tied to growth and operational improvements

Systems & Tools

• Blueprint Pro AI or similar takeoff platforms
• Excel (material lists and data tracking)
• Adobe Acrobat (plan review)
• Estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff)
• Internal quoting and research platforms

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in construction estimating, takeoffs, or related field
• Advanced ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
• Strong understanding of building materials, methods, and specifications
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software platforms
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
