Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization located in northeast Austin, is seeking a Dispatcher to support overnight and weekend operations across multiple cities. This individual will be responsible for coordinating schedules, communicating with drivers and teams, and ensuring efficient dispatch coverage. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage real-time operational needs in a fast-paced environment. The work environment is dynamic and operations-focused, requiring strong communication and attention to detail. This is an onsite role with varying overnight shifts, including 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM or 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM, on a Wednesday through Sunday schedule as a direct hire opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate dispatch operations across multiple cities

• Manage and adjust driver schedules in real-time

• Communicate with drivers and internal teams to ensure service efficiency

• Monitor dispatch systems and maintain accurate records

• Address and resolve scheduling or routing issues as they arise

• Ensure proper coverage for overnight and weekend operations

• Track and report on dispatch activity and performance

• Collaborate with operations teams to improve efficiency

• Maintain compliance with internal processes and protocols

• Support overall logistics coordination and workflow

Qualifications:

• 2-4+ years of dispatch experience required

• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment preferred

• Strong understanding of dispatch operations and scheduling

• Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts consistently

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work independently and make real-time decisions

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
