Our client is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for owning key aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the continued development of scalable accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in operational accounting, experience in either public accounting or a public company environment, and working knowledge of revenue accounting principles, including ASC 606. While deep technical revenue expertise is not required, the successful candidate will understand how revenue impacts the close process and be comfortable partnering across functions. This position offers an opportunity to step into a leadership role with future direct management responsibilities and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative, fast-paced organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or public company accounting experience
  • Strong ownership of month-end close activities and financial reporting processes
  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Demonstrated ownership of balance sheet accounts and account reconciliation processes
  • Working knowledge of revenue accounting concepts and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Strong operational accounting background with the ability to identify risks and resolve accounting issues
  • Proven experience implementing process improvements and helping build scalable accounting processes
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and communicating effectively across the organization
  • Previous leadership, mentorship, or direct management experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of key deliverables
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with a minimum of two days per week in the office
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive and solution-focused approach to accounting operations
