Our client is seeking a temporary Email Marketing Specialist to support a busy marketing team. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of email and SMS/MMS marketing campaigns, helping manage marketing requests from internal stakeholders, build and schedule communications, perform quality assurance checks, and ensure brand consistency across all campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their email marketing career or a marketing specialist who has owned email campaigns for a smaller organization and is looking to gain experience in a larger, more structured environment.
Position Description:
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, technically curious, and enjoys the operational side of email marketing.
- Assist with the setup and scheduling of email marketing campaigns.
- Manage incoming campaign requests from marketing teams across the organization and confirm all required information is provided.
- Coordinate edits and revisions with Marketing Management and creative teams.
- Help maintain campaign schedules and ensure emails are sent on time.
- Test campaigns, dynamic content, and personalization to ensure accuracy before launch.
- Perform quality assurance reviews, proofreading, and brand compliance checks.
- Partner with copywriters, creative teams, marketers, and technical resources throughout campaign execution.
- Coordinate with Marketing Management teams to help investigate and resolve issues related to email automations or scheduled campaigns
- Support ongoing email team optimization initiatives including reporting, insights, automated campaigns, and tracking of email campaign performance
- Track multiple projects simultaneously and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- 1+ year of experience working on an email marketing project/initiative.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related discipline.
- Experience with Email Marketing Applications (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred).
- Understanding of audience segmentation and campaign targeting.
- Experience with SMS/MMS marketing campaigns.
- Strong proofreading, editing, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working technical knowledge of HTML/CSS, and SQL.
- Experience working with project management tools (Workfront or similar).
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal clients.
Bonus Skills:
- Exposure to AMPscript or other marketing automation scripting languages.
- Knowledge of dynamic content, personalization, and A/B testing.
- Marketing degree, internship, or early-career experience focused on email marketing.
