We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable temporary employee to assist in Corporate Communications at a life sciences organization. This is a great opportunity for a communications, marketing, or public relations professional who enjoys writing, editing, coordinating internal and external messaging, and supporting meaningful work in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. The position is Monday through Friday, approximately 20-30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and coordinate internal communications, including organizational announcements, new hire announcements, employee spotlights, intranet content, and employee-facing updates
- Support social media content development and assist with managing LinkedIn and X/Twitter activity, with potential support for launching additional social channels
- Review and refine externally facing materials, including community letters, FAQs, medical posters, presentations, and patient advocacy materials
- Assist with formatting, proofreading, and polishing PowerPoint presentations and other communications materials
- Support patient advocacy group communications and presentation materials
- Help edit employee communications, including HR reminders, leadership messages, and internal updates
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure communications are clear, accurate, professional, and aligned with messaging needs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or a related field preferred
- Experience supporting internal communications, external communications, social media, or executive/employee messaging
- Life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or highly regulated industry experience is strongly preferred
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment where priorities and messaging may change
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while collaborating closely with a small team
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
