FP&A Accountant

Our client, a respected nonprofit healthcare organization, is seeking an Accountant / Financial Analyst to join their growing finance team! This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to gain hands-on FP&A experience while building upon a strong accounting foundation.

What You’ll Do

• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Perform balance sheet analysis and assist with audit support
• Manage billing, cash applications, AR aging, and collections follow-up
• Help build and expand the organization’s FP&A capabilities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis
• Create reports, KPIs, and financial insights for leadership
• Support financial modeling, scenario planning, and long-range forecasting initiatives
• Partner with departments across the organization to provide meaningful financial guidance
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and increased operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
• Interest in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or FP&A
• Intermediate Excel skills
• A proactive, curious, and eager-to-learn mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
• Nonprofit accounting experience
• NetSuite experience
