Duration: 3-6 Month Contract
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a high-performing Learning & Development team within a business-focused sales organization. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging learning solutions for direct sales teams, leveraging modern instructional design methodologies, rapid development tools, and AI-driven content creation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed instructional designer who thrives in a corporate environment, works effectively with stakeholders, and can independently drive learning projects from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning courses, videos, job aids, and performance support materials.
- Utilize Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Apply the ADDIE methodology, action mapping, and agile learning design principles to develop effective learning solutions.
- Conduct learning needs analyses and assess business requirements to recommend appropriate training strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business leaders to gather requirements and manage feedback.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate content creation and enhance learning experiences.
- Create multimedia learning assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Vyond, and other video development platforms.
- Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve training content based on learner and stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of corporate Instructional Design experience.
- Proven expertise with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
- Experience designing and developing learning programs in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience managing projects through the full instructional design lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience receiving and implementing feedback professionally.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and asks thoughtful questions to drive project success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Xyleme.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate learning content development.
- Adobe Creative Cloud expertise.
- Canva experience.
- Vyond or other video development/editing tools.
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field.
- Exposure to agile learning development methodologies and action mapping.

Interview Process
- Virtual interview with hiring manager.
- Onsite interview with team members and leadership.
- Final conversational meeting focused on team fit and onboarding expectations.
Must-Have Screening Criteria
- Corporate instructional design experience.
- Advanced experience with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
- Experience creating eLearning content from scratch.
- Portfolio/work samples available for review.
- Experience partnering directly with stakeholders and SMEs.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Stamford, CT or Charlotte, NC.
