Location: Le Sueur, MN (Onsite 5 Days per Week)
Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000, depending on previous experience
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Lead a High-Impact Manufacturing Operation

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to assess the overall performance of a growing manufacturing facility in Le Sueur, Minnesota. This senior leadership role will provide strategic and operational oversight across manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, safety, and financial operations while ensuring the organization achieves its performance, customer, and growth objectives.

Position Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational performance, strengthening leadership capabilities, and fostering a culture centered on accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This individual will lead both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of plant operations while maintaining full financial responsibility for the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of facility operations to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing performance.
  • Champion initiatives that improve workplace safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Manage financial performance through ownership of budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and profit-and-loss results.
  • Build, mentor, and develop leaders throughout the organization while promoting a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, reduce waste, and improve business outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives and support customer requirements.
  • Establish performance expectations, monitor key metrics, and implement action plans to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven success leading manufacturing plant operations in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Extensive experience with full P&L responsibility and financial management.
  • Strong background implementing Lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading production, quality, safety, maintenance, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Expertise in budgeting, succession planning, and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to influence teams, drive change, and lead through growth and transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a union manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites or facilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
