This temporary Mailroom and Office Services Clerk position pays $20/hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST (40 hours/week, fully onsite) in Boston, MA. The role is with an investment/financial services firm and is expected to last at least 2 weeks, with an immediate start due to a leave coverage need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, scan, process, and distribute incoming mail
- Manage outgoing mail using mailing equipment
- Coordinate FedEx, UPS, and postal deliveries/pickups
- Upload compliance-related documents for review
- Support remote employees with printing and mailing needs
- Serve as the point of contact for mail and shipping inquiries
- Assist with printer maintenance, toner changes, and basic IT support
- Coordinate vendor service calls and on-site technology replacements
- Greet and escort visitors as needed
- Manage office supplies inventory and restocking
- Coordinate shredding services and records management
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and appearance of common areas
- Assist with office moves, reorganizations, and workspace setup
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic clerical skills including printing, scanning, and email communication
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe products
- Strong attention to confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Willingness to learn additional business tools and systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with a team
- Basic computer, mathematical, reading, writing, and clerical proficiency
