This role will serve as a technical integrator for the Wire Routing & Equipment Installation Team, supporting cross-functional sustainment, modification, and design engineering activities.
We’re looking for a self-motivated engineer with experience in aircraft equipment installation, wire routing, wire harness integration, and installation drawing development. This individual will play a key role in improving installation designs, compliance, maintainability, and overall fleet support.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and document functional and physical design requirements for equipment locations, support structures, and wire routing architectures.
Lead sustainment and development of aircraft installation work products, including equipment installation drawings, wire routing modification drawings, and associated BOMs.
Create and maintain 3D wire routing and installation models in Siemens NX and generate supporting 2D drawings and kit documentation.
Provide technical leadership and integration support across Structures, Mechanical, Avionics, Environmental, Power, Lighting, Materials & Processes, and other engineering teams.
Support verification and validation testing, including bonding, grounding, vibration, thermal, and environmental testing.
Lead technical discussions, root cause investigations, and corrective action development for installation-related issues.
Interface directly with USAF/FMS customers, Field Engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Support supplier management activities including audits, NCR disposition, and technical oversight of installation hardware.
Perform safety, reliability, and maintainability analyses, including FMEA/FMECA activities.
Support Statements of Work, schedules, technical metrics, and program execution efforts.
Mentor junior engineers and represent the team in IPTs, technical review boards, and customer meetings.
