Salesforce Integration Architect
Location: Wisconsin (REMOTE – Training on Site)
Type: Contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Integration Architect to lead enterprise-scale architecture, integration strategy, and customer engagement platform initiatives. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with solution governance, cloud architecture, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing Salesforce-based solutions, enterprise integrations, contact center technologies, and modern DevSecOps practices. This position will play a key role in modernization and digital transformation efforts while partnering with both technical and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and implement enterprise Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
  • Lead API-led integration architecture using MuleSoft and establish enterprise data exchange strategies.
  • Design and support contact center integrations utilizing AWS Connect and customer engagement platforms.
  • Develop automation and AI-enabled customer engagement solutions using Salesforce technologies.
  • Define and enforce integration standards, security models, architecture patterns, and platform best practices.
  • Provide architectural guidance for CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps processes, release management, and environment strategy.
  • Support migration and modernization efforts involving legacy systems and Salesforce platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, project stakeholders, and business partners to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Review technical designs, mentor team members, and provide oversight for complex development efforts.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational readiness.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation, system diagrams, interface specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with backlog refinement, effort estimation, technical governance, and development best practices.
  • Help drive data architecture, governance, and integration strategies for both traditional and AI-enabled applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Salesforce architecture and development experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with:
  • Salesforce Apex
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Salesforce Flow
  • Integration Patterns
  • Salesforce Security Model
  • 8+ years of MuleSoft experience, including:
  • Anypoint Platform
  • API design and management
  • RAML
  • DataWeave
  • Integration orchestration
  • Experience integrating AWS Connect with Salesforce Service Cloud or similar customer engagement platforms.
  • Experience designing enterprise integration architectures and cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and system integration standards.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD implementations and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to serve as a technical lead across distributed teams.

  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience modernizing customer service or contact center environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or complex enterprise environments.

Ideal Background

This role is well-suited for a senior-level Salesforce Architect or Integration Architect who has successfully designed enterprise Salesforce ecosystems, led complex MuleSoft integration initiatives, implemented AWS Connect solutions, and provided technical leadership for modernization programs. The ideal candidate can balance architecture strategy with hands-on technical execution while collaborating effectively across business and technology teams.
