Senior FP&A Consultant (Contract | Remote)
Our client is seeking a highly hands-on Senior FP&A Consultant to support a critical financial planning and analysis initiative. This is a project-based engagement for an experienced finance leader who can quickly assess current processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, provide executive-level reporting, and deliver strategic financial insights to leadership.
This role is ideal for a consultant with deep FP&A expertise, strong modeling capabilities, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities across multiple business units.
- Build and enhance financial models to support revenue, profitability, and cash flow analysis.
- Develop executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI reporting for senior leadership.
- Provide variance analysis, business performance insights, and actionable recommendations to improve financial results.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate business performance, profitability, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Assess and improve FP&A processes, reporting structures, and forecasting methodologies.
- Support market analysis, business planning, and growth initiatives as needed.
- Assist with financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and M&A-related projects, including integration planning and financial modeling.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including senior-level financial leadership responsibilities.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and executive reporting.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic financial insights while remaining hands-on in the details.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, boards, or private equity stakeholders is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with profitability analysis, KPI development, and business performance management.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, or strategic growth initiatives is a plus.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Background
- Technology, professional services, telecommunications, managed services, or multi-segment business experience preferred.
- Prior consulting, interim leadership, or project-based FP&A experience highly desirable.
