  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical financial data and account-level analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, documentation, and auditor requests.
  • Ensure accounting activities are completed in accordance with GAAP and established internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency within the close and reporting processes.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with internal departments to research financial questions and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Support Accounting Manager, Controller, and finance leadership with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to Staff Accountants and other members of the accounting team when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, depending on the complexity of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
